Laughing Dog Brewing - Alpha Dog

Laughing Dog Brewing, from Idaho, has only been around for a few years. Set out to produce seriously hop-driven brews, the Alpha Dog is the proverbial leader of the pack.

Pours out a hazy, golden-orange color. The foam is bright white, very thick, and very long-lasting. The foam after a few minutes looks like vanilla soft-serve ice cream. As the foam subsides, heavy lacing remains.

The aromas are of strong hops, but clean, with a little bit of tart/citrus aromas, overall the nose is pretty light. Once in the mouth, all that I can taste is hops. I'm mildly overwhelmed with hops. Ron, however loves this brew. In terms of an Imperial IPA, I'd give this a good review. Its very hoppy, very dry, but there's a light, soft citrus note that I can't put my finger on.
