Wolaver's Alta Gracia Coffee Porter

Pours into my snifter glass a very, very dark brown. Very little foam appears, which is a light tan in color. The beer is not as thick as I expected from the color. The texture on the palate is relatively smooth, and easy to drink.

The Wolaver Coffer Porter smells more like an iced mocha than it does dark coffee. I don't smell much hops, but plenty of dark and roasted malts. There is very little lacing at all.

On the palate, the porter is smooth and lightly sweet. It really reminds me more of an iced mocha than it does a beer. Very smooth, almost refreshing to drink. I enjoyed this beer quite a lot. It's got more body and flavor that your average beer.
